Why am I not receiving pollen alerts?

Several reasons can be the cause :

- A configuration problem.

Solutions :

Double check the options chosen for your alert. It is possible that the selected pollens were not present or that the chosen threshold was not reached that day. In this case the notification is not triggered.


- A problem with the display of the notification.

Solutions :

Check in the system settings -> Notifications -> Pollen Alert that notifications are enabled for this application. Click on the detail to define Urgent or High importance for Pollen Alert notifications. There is also an option to allow receipt of notification from this app, even in the case of "Do not disturb mode".

If the problem persists, do not hesitate to contact us by clicking on "report a problem".


- A concern with the Android alarm clock functionality.

From version 9 of Android, the system may decide to delay or cancel the execution of an alarm if it is triggered by an application that is very rarely used. The system can also choose to delay an alarm if it was in deep sleep at the time, in power saving mode to conserve battery power.

Solutions :

Use the app regularly and see if notifications are displayed again by the system.

Pollen

How many pollens are listed ?

The app lists 12 pollens. (Ambrosia, Sagebrush, Alder, Birch, Hornbeam, Chestnut, Oak, Cypress, Ash, Grasses, Hazel, Oleaceae, Sorrel, Urticaceae, Poplar, Plantain, Plane tree, Willow, Linden)

Why does the bulletin only show 5 today?

Only pollens that are actively circulating at this time are displayed.

What does the global risk index visible on the pollen report correspond to?

It is calculated from the most active pollen on that day. For example if 5 pollens are active that day, with all a level 1/10 (very low), except one which has a high level (8/10), then the overall index will be 8/10. Because it is based on the pollen with the highest risk. If you are not allergic to this pollen but to one which is not circulating at all at the moment, then 8/10 is out of step with your personal risk which is zero. It is therefore important, if you already know the pollens to which you are sensitive, to configure them in the parameters. Thus the global index will be calculated on the most active pollen AMONG the pollens to which you are sensitive. If no pollens to which you are sensitive are circulating, then the overall risk index will be 0/10.

How do I know which pollen (s) I am sensitive to?

Take the time to compare your sensations and your feelings with the details of the active pollens displayed each day in order to identify those to which you are sensitive. Soon an option will be available to keep a diary of your allergic episodes and will help you better understand your allergy.

Is Pollen Alert a medical application?

No. The Application provides the User with indicative information. The Publisher cannot guarantee the relevance or accuracy of the information and recommendations of the Application. The Application can in no way be a substitute for a consultation with a healthcare professional, in particular an allergist or a doctor. The Publisher cannot be held responsible for the user's choices or his taking of medication.

When are the pollen data updated?

The data is updated daily. An indication of the update date is normally visible on the bulletin page.



Weather forecast

Why is the weather forecast not displayed?

Maybe you have turned off the weather display in the app settings. Check that the option is enabled. If the problem persists, the weather data may be temporarily unavailable from our supplier.

When is the weather data updated?

The weather data is updated daily. An indication of the update date is normally visible on the bulletin page.

Are the weather data reliable?

Yes, we have selected the supplier with the most accurate data at the most reasonable price. There are more expensive providers, which we can turn to if the application's revenue allows it. You can deactivate the weather display in the settings if you wish.



Cities

How to add an additional city?

From the main screen which presents the Pollen Bulletin for the day, click on the + button located at the bottom right of the screen. Then search for a city and click on it to add it. To switch from one city to another, you just have to swipe the screen right or left from the main screen.

How to delete a city?

Click in the "Cities" sliding menu, the list of cities in cities will be displayed. Click on the 3 vertical buttons next to the name of the city you want to delete. A submenu will appear, allowing you to delete this city.

How to change the main city?

The main city is the first that is displayed when you launch the application. Repeat the same steps as for deleting a city (question above), but this time in the submenu choose "Set as main city"
